Kia ora! I’m Te Kakara, a māmā, a pharmacy technician, and the heart behind Te Kakara Rongoā. My journey started with a simple desire: to create natural, gentle, and effective remedies that care for the whole whānau — skin, body, and spirit. Guided by faith, I believe that true healing comes from God’s creation, and I strive to honour that in every jar I make.

I have always been inspired by the wisdom of traditional rongoā and the powerful gifts of plants. Combining this knowledge with my experience in pharmacy, I carefully craft each balm with pure, plant-based oils and essential oils, made in small batches with love, care, and intention.

Being a mum has shown me just how important it is to trust what we put on our skin. That’s why everything I create is safe for babies, gentle enough for sensitive skin, yet effective for adults dealing with dryness, discomfort, or muscle and joint pain.
